*The ASB Giving Tree is in the front lobby of the Washington Bldg. Please stop by, choose a giving ornament. It's our chance to help out families in our community during the holiday.
There are a lot of ornaments left to choose from!
*****Please do not park in the bus loading zone on Adams. Some parents are parking in the bus zone before and after school at Washington and are preventing students from loading on and off the bus.

Info from Save Streets
People are targeting packages that are being delivered to homes. Apparently they are literally following delivery trucks and going door to door looking for packages to steal. If possible, watch for your expected packages and bring inside as soon as possible.

~A Washington-Hoyt family is looking for full-time nanny for our 2.5-year old girl in north Tacoma for 5-months starting January 2009; Monday-Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm. The job requires driving own vehicle in town to various activities and to pick up from Washington-Hoyt her 7-year old sister at 3.30 pm. Light housework is optional. We offer very friendly environment, two polite and loving children, and a clean comfortable house. We seek a responsible, engaged, and warm person.

One last plug for the Friday event!
The Cognitive Abilities Test Form 6 Level 2 (CogAT) will be given to all second grade students between January 12 and January 23, 2009 during the regular school day.
This is a regular part of the district assessment program. The results of the assessment are used, in part, to identify students who might be eligible for the Challenge Programs for Highly Capable Students.
Results of the CogAT will be available in the spring. Parents should contact the school if there are any questions about the results.
The Challenge Programs for Highly Capable Students will invite parents of the highest scoring students to nominate their children for possible inclusion in the program.

| Come hang out with us on FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12. That's the date for the Fourth Annual Beautiful Angle Holiday Benefit Show. This year we are selling posters for cheap and taking donations to benefit Layla House, an orphanage in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the former home of Genet and Bizayehu, two new members of the Beautiful Angle family. Grab all your friends and join us at Black Water Cafe in Tacoma around 7ish. We're excited to announce that Oh Yeah Hell Yeah will be performing live. Check out the Oh Yeah Hell Yeah MySpace page to see how cool their music is. There will be also be good food, great company, and a bunch of lovingly-created letterpress posters. All proceeds and donations will go to supporting the wonderful residents of Layla House. The first 50 folks to bring in a cash donation of at least $5 will receive a commemorative BA poster.
