*Dear Washington Hoyt Families. The Entertainment Book sale is in full swing. If you would like to purchase more books, please contact Kathy Spurrell, at 761-8983. If you do not want the book that was sent home with your child, it is very important that you send it back to school as soon as possible. Please either send the $25.00 to buy the book or return the book to your child's teacher on or before Oct. 4th. Thank you for making our fundraiser great.

*Friday marks the sign-up deadline for the Fall session of our afterschool art program WHAM: Washington-Hoyt's Art Movement. Classes are available Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5:30. Space is limited to 16 students in each class, so don't wait. Information and registration forms can be found at wahoyt.org or in the hallway near the Front Office. Friday, Sept. 24th will be the first Box Tops collections for the year! Start gathering them up and be sure to send them to school with your kids before next Friday. The class that collects the most will receive an ice cream party!!

CUB SCOUT PACK 219 will be washing cars in front of Washington Saturday Oct 2nd from 9-12. $5 donation goes to support cub scout programs. Tickets can be purchased in advance from the Cub Scouts or drive ins always accepted. Bring your dirty car to Washington on Saturday Oct 1st!

We extend a warm invitation to any boy who is interested in joining Cub Scouts, especially any 1st grade families who are interested in making new friends, learning new skills, having adventures and who just want to become part of a great organization that helps to mold our boys into successful adults. eScrip is a free program which links your grocery purchases to our school. By simply signing up your Safeway card on the eScrip website they automatically give a percentage back to our PTA.

Dawson Family
We are collecting cards and gift cards for the Dawson family following the loss of Greg Dawson. The Dawson children will be not be attending Washington-Hoyt this year, but we want to make sure they know they are cared for and remembered by their Washington-Hoyt community.

If you would like to submit something to the 5X7 book we are collecting (card or gift card) please email awigstromhoseth@hotmail.com. You could drop it in the PTA box in the main office anytime or send it in with your child to school (clearly marked for PTA gift for the Dawson family)

School Sweatshirts
School logo sweatshirts and related attire are available for sale twice a year. Orders received during the September sale will be delivered in two batches, one in early October (for those received no later than September 16th) and one by the beginning of November (orders must be in the office by October 4th). The last sale of the school year takes place during November. Orders must be received in the office by November 16th, with shirts delivered to students by winter break.
This is not intended as a fundraiser, however a small profit may incur. Sweatshirts are included as uniform components when worn with a collared shirt. All sales are final, unfortunately we cannot do refunds or exchanges.
Please note: 1/4 zip and denim shirts are available for adults only and CANNOT be worn by students as part of the school uniform. Shirt sizes tend to run small, so if in doubt, order big, because all sales are final, no exceptions, no refunds. If you have any other questions, please contact the Chairperson: Danielle Nease at 253.752.8769

*Calling all Washington/Hoyt families. If you haven't already turned in your order form for the Nick N Willy's pizza for Back-to-School night this Thursday, you MUST have it turned in by Tuesday morning. Pizza orders will be closed 10am Tuesday Sept.21st. I have to give a head count to Nick-N-Willy's Tuesday.
