I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze......

My programs are interactive and tailored to grade level. In my programs, I discuss how I got started, including showing a book that I made when I was in the fourth grade. I stress keeping sketchbooks/journals and I share mine. I shed light on the writing process, from concept to finished book. I will read from my work. Then I do a unique presentation on character creation that will enlighten and inspire students to draw their own characters with my help. New Student Drop Off Zone Planning Meeting - Wednesday, March 24th at 3:45pm in Main Office
Illegal parking and dropping off and picking up students in the roads and no-parking areas has created a dangerous environment for our students. Dr. Knight has arranged a meeting to discuss solutions, including using parent volunteers to staff a new student drop off zone (where drivers can come through and drop off their kids without leaving their cars). We are also looking at ways to prevent cars from parking in the Bus-only zone on Adams. Cindee Moore, a City of Tacoma Traffic Engineer will also attend to give advice on solutions that will work to make a safer environment for students. If you are interested in solving the problem, or volunteering, or whatever, please join us on Wednesday, March 24th at 3:45pm in the Main office.

Missoula Children's Theater is coming on February 22rd through February 27th! Auditions will be held immediately after school on Monday the 22rd from about 3:15-5:15 p.m.. Approximately 50 children will be chosen for our school production of "Pinocchio". Friday, February 26th at 2:00 p.m., there will be an all-school assembly presented by our touring directors. This is a fun, interactive assembly unrelated to the production. Saturday, February 27th, the cast and crew will give us two performances at 3:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.! Many volunteers will be needed. Please note that auditions will be closed again this year. Also, if you know your child has any conflicts during the week or is not feeling well please do not have them audition. The directors are not able to keep a list of alternates and we have lost spots for kids to participate due to drop-outs in the past (happily, none last year!). We look forward to an outstanding week of hard work and fun! If you have any questions please email or call Alison Hoseth at awigstromhoseth@hotmail.com or 761-9730.
Needed:
- Volunteers to walk the children from Hoyt to Washington on Monday after school.
- Volunteers to bake or bring items for the concessions stand AND workers for the stand.
Check out the online Art Gallery from the Fall Session. We hope to add new works each month to the web gallery. Session 1 covered The Impressionist Movement, introducing WHAM artists to Monet, Van Gogh, Klimt and Toulouse Lautrec Wow!

The clothes closet is low on smaller-sized pants, sizes 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10. We have more than enough in larger sizes, and more than enough shirts, but if you have clean gently used pants of the listed sizes, please consider donating them to the clothes closet.
We also need socks! New or gently used would be great! We need both girls and boys all sizes! Thank you!
