The easiest fundraiser ever!

Picture this: You can make your usual weekly visits to the grocery store, gas station, book store, coffee shop, and many more retailers and make money for Washington-Hoyt at the same time! How is this possible? Welcome to the COUGAR CARDS fundraising concept. Our PTA purchases gift cards, or COUGAR CARDS, from popular retailers and grocery stores at a discount. WA-Hoyt families then buy the gift cards from the PTA at face value. The difference in price is kept by the PTA. This difference is listed as a percentage next to each retailer on the order form. Families can then spend (or give as gifts) the COUGAR CARDS at the retailer where it is worth face value. You haven’t spent an extra dime and you’ve made money to help our school!

Last year COUGAR CARDS made over $6,500.00 to contribute to great programs at our school!

COUGAR CARDS order forms will come home with your child one or two Fridays a month in their “Friday Folders”. Please return the completed order form on the following Monday to your child’s teacher, with a check made out to “WA-Hoyt PTA”. The COUGAR CARDS will be delivered to your child on Friday. It is very important to indicate on your order form who is allowed to pick up your COUGAR CARDS order. Because the gift cards are the equivalent of cash, we will only release the cards to persons indicated by you.

Did you know the school can earn money when you buy groceries? Register your Safeway Club Card at www.escrip.com and present your club card at the time of purchase. ALBERTSON'S CARDS: We have been earning much needed funding through the Albertson's Community Partner Program.  Even if you have linked your Preferred Saving Card to our organization in the past, you need to re-link your card number in order for us to continue earning funds.  Link (or re-link) your Albertson's card to our organization at www.albertsonscp.com . All you need is your card number and our organization ID. It will only take a minute! If you do not know your Preferred Savings Card number, please call 877-932-7948

Safeway Press Release: April 9, 2009, Washington-Hoyt PTA would like to thank Safeway for their participation in the eScrip program. During 2008 Washington-Hoyt PTA earned $3,458 in contributions from this program!

The Safeway eScrip program is a fantastic program where schools can earn money from purchases families are already making at their local Safeway.

Many Washington-Hoyt families have registered their Safeway Club Card numbers and now every time they shop a percentage of what they spend is coming back to Washington-Hoyt.

The money that is generated from this program has gone to many different PTA programs including new books for our library, our Accelerated Reading (AR) program and the Missoula Children’s Theatre.

Thank you Safeway for continuing to fund this program even as the economy has slumped. We VERY much appreciate your commitment to education even when (especially when) economic times are hard. We appreciate your support and look forward to continuing our partnership with you to fund youth education!
